Planning: Survey Monkey Results and Analysis

We conducted a survey using Survey Monkey, in order to gain feedback on some of our ideas for our film. With the information that we receive we will be able to see whether our ideas need improving or adapting to fit the majority of audience's desires. In addition we will be taking into consideration the views that are less expressed in our results, in order to cater for the audience at large.

It was important to know how much of a demographic took the survey, in order to identify whether or not the survey is bias as well as what areas have to consider when interpreting the data.
For example, 6.25% more females answered the survey than males which makes the results slightly biased as the female view is expressed more however, the data can still be effectively used.

Question 4 helped in reassuring us in what time of day to set the film as the majority of participants of the survey preferred the film being set at night, as was initially discussed as a group. With 71.88% of the participants agreeing that a night set film would be more effective, we would have to adapt our plot in that respect as it caters for the audience at large.

Results from question 6 show that the majority of the participants preferred the protagonist to me dressed in all black. Yet quite a large percentage also wanted the protagonist to be dressed in casual clothes which also causes us to reconsider the effectiveness of the protagonist being dressed in all black verses casual.

Question 10 shows us that all of the locations we were considering for the surveillance scene were equally appreciated by and we also had some further suggestions of locations that we could consider. This means that where we choose to do the surveillance wouldn't affect the audience too much, however this also allows us to consider using one of the other locations in other scenes.
