Construction- Reflections- Day 1

Today was the first day of filming and today we planned that Me and Jessica film the first scene today. When Jessica came to the area that I live in, we both walked down a street where I told her that we could capture an extreme long shot which in the beginnings of most movies they use that shot to introduce the main characters living area, so when we got there we set the camera and the tripod up, at first the tripod was giving us a bit of a problem because it was a bit wobbly compared to all the other tripods, this made use waste quite a bit of time on just capturing this first shot to be edited and used in this film that we were doing, however in the end we managed to fix the problem and started to film. on the first few attempts, the camera was caught shaking, since when we were filming it was cold and on the other attempts that we both did, cars kept coming towards us causing us to move quite a lot, delaying the progress of the film, sometimes we moved for no reason because the drivers were not indicating whether they were coming our direction or not. After capturing the long shot, we then did a long shot of the car park and the building that I live in, Then we then caught another long shot of the front of my house and then stopped filming from there to prepare for the rest of the first scent which was the introduction to Mika for the rest of that day, Me and Jessica were trying to make the scar for Mika which we had planned to have on her face, it took a few hours to get right and when we did get it right, we couldn't continue since it took to long causing us to film late at night which wasn't what we planned and I had to call of the rest of the filming today because due one of my family members needing to go to hospital due to a serious health condition.

When we edited the the introduction to the area bit of the first scene, everything went good, all we had to do was cut some of the unnecessary parts to each clip and then saved it,

Construction: Making Use of Theory

Todorov's Theory of Narrative suggests there are three parts to a narrative the equilibrium, the disruption of the equilibrium and the resolution of the problem. The three core parts of a narrative are further split into the:
Equilibrium
Where generally, everyone is in a happy state or in a state of norm how things should be
Disruption
Where there is also  a disruption of happiness and things should be
Realisation
This part of the narrative structure is where everyone realises there is a problem after the disruption
Restore order
The characters work towards repairing the damage from the disruption of the events
Returning to equilibrium
In the end characters return to their normal state and the problem is resolved

The First 2 minutes of our film has bee planned to address the Equilibrium and Disruption part of the plot of film. The Equilibrium part of the narrative structure is implemented through Mika getting ready however there is a slight disruption as she looks at herself remembering the past events. The second scene also helps set the equilibrium through the meeting in scene two, between the two antagonists - this isn't necessarily a happy state however it would be the norm for these two people to interact leaving them in the state of norm without disruption.

Disruption begins to be introduced in the second scene as the main antagonist is being watched although he is unaware, but this disruption creates a dramatic irony as the audience is aware of the disruption mean while he is not aware that he is being watched.

Much later in the film the Realisation of being watched would become apparent to the antagonists however it becomes known to Mika who her attackers were and through the flashback scene the realisation of her attackers is highly evident, she realises they are still around and haven't changed.

The order would eventually be restored when she gets her revenge after her continuous efforts to Restore Order.which deviates from the Narrative Structure as our film would have a combination of these steps in various orders before Returning to the Equilibrium.
