This is one of our mind maps. This mind Map focuses on the first two minutes of our plot. As you can see Jessica has put down basic ideas about what will be taking place during the plot and the first two minutes of what she believes should take place in the movie. Jessica has also listed what the girls personality is like and what qualities she possess.
The basic story for this Mind Map is that the girl has lost her family to the main antagonist in a disastrous attack. The attacker then keeps the girl and tortures her to her limit with various torture devices. The girl is somehow able to escape and goes on a vengeance to find her torturer and the person who was responsible for the loss of her family. She goes on a killing spree against anybody who has the same sorts of qualities as the attacker, or people who have hurt others for no particular reason. She sneakily stalks the attacker and finally gets what she wants.
Chloe has went into basic planning details of our film. Such as another plot idea which our group could take into account. She has also came up with different characters which will be included and has gone into some aspects of Mise-En-Scene which our group could include during our final wrap up of our film.
The basic story of this Mind Map is based around a girl who is called Mikasa. She is 18 years old and she wants to seek revenge against who killed her parents and the person who left the dreadful mark upon her face. As she eventually stands before the person who she believes was responsible and then starts the flashbacks. These flashbacks reveal what happened to her as they go from what happened on that fateful day and what is happening right now!
I have put in basic information about Mise-En-Scene in this Mind Map. I have divided each aspect of Mise-En-Scene into different categories and I have also divided them up per scene and character.
I have made a separate Mind Map for the two 'main' characters which will be involved in the film and that is the girl and the attacker. I have then under each person put a small biography of basic information of what I think they should be like.
In this mind map I have put in three different location possibilities for each scene. This is to give our group an option for each different scene.
I have also added a final mind map for which shots I think should be used in the different scenes.
The basic overview for plot in my series of mind maps is that it is based around a girl who has no name. She is being constantly abused by somebody who is so ruthless is known by 'The Attacker'. He makes fun out her. Mocks her. Embarrasses her. He even physically assaults her. The Girl then plans an escape, this escape takes weeks and weeks of torture to go through to finally come out with the final plan. She was severely injured as she made her escape. She was deaf In one ear and blind in one eye. However once she finally escaped she was completely fine. In fact she had acquired a certain boost in strength, intelligence, stamina and also her sense of smell becomes extra sensitive.. Once she realises she has those powers she lets out a piercing scream. She tries to track down her attacker and she succeeds. She figures out a plan for how she could possibly get revenge. She runs extremely fast and tracks him down using her sense of smell. We then see the girl as she is about to execute her attack. Then reality kicks in and we see a normal girl with a normal family and living a normal life. However she is bruised and has an ear piece. Did this really happen?
Myself Jessica and Chloe came up with three different ideas for our film. The reason why we done this was because, it is an easy way of putting ideas across, not only that but it is a structured way of doing so. We are able to add to them fairly easily and make decisions over the three. Such as which suits which part the best.
These Mind Maps have helped us to arrive to the ideas of the film which we are going to be creating soon.
